Congleton U3A Annual General Meeting

We have a change of venue for this year’s AGM, it will be held at Congleton High School, Box Lane on Wednesday 31st March at 10.00am.

The reason for this is because we need a bigger venue to accommodate the 20% of the membership that we are hoping will attend.  This year’s AGM is very, very important to Congleton U3A because we hope to amend our Constitution and if our members do not support us on 31st March we are in danger of losing our Charitable status which would  be devastating.

AGM’s are generally thought of as being ‘boring’, but we have tried to make the event as interesting as possible.  There will be group displays in the gymnasium, an extremely interesting and entertaining speaker (see below) as well as a ‘free’ raffle.  Tea/coffee will be available and parking should not be a problem. So please, in the interests of your U3A, make a note of the date and come along to support us on the day.

 Speaker:

Suzanne Morgan

“A Modern Day Lady Pawnbroker”

SuzanneMorgan

Suzanne Morgan is a natural and keeps an audience spellbound and laughing for the duration of her talk. She has had a long and interesting career, both as manageress of the three hairdressing and beauty salons on board the QE2 and in more recent years as the proprietor of a successful pawnbrokers and cheque changing service in Staffordshire”.
