Morecambe Bay Walk, 4^th August 2010
 The U3A walking groups are arranging a joint walk across Morecambe Bay with a guide.  This is a nine mile walk which crosses some river channels, one of which can be up to knee deep.  A quadbike is available in case anyone gets into difficulties.  Members of U3A that are experienced walkers & fit enough for this walk, but are not in U3A walking groups, are also invited.

Grange-over-Sands Day Trip
Any spare seats on the coaches for the Morecambe Bay walk will be available for members who want a day trip to the Edwardian resort of Grange-over-Sands in South Cumbria.  Coaches will drop the walkers off at Hest Bank, near Morecambe, and then take you round Morecambe Bay to Grange-over-Sands, arriving about 11.30 – 12.00. 

You will then be free to explore Grange and its ornamental gardens and mile long promenade, which looks out over Morecambe Bay. The coaches will leave Grange-over-Sands about 5.00pm. The cost is expected to be approximately £12 per person. Please sign the sheet at St John’s or contact Len Taylor.
